CANCELLATION & REFUNDS

INDIVIDUAL BOOKINGS: (Northern Lights hunt, Discover the fjords)

You can cancel your booking and receive a refund up to 24 hours before the tour/activity. From the refund we will deduct handling fee 200nok per person. After that time in case of your cancellation or no-show no refund will be given. Our payment partner is sending refund within 14 working days.

Handling fee is necessary to be able to offer the tours for reasonable price and cover the costs of financial operations of our partners.

If you modify the date of your reservation and postpone it to a later date, in the event of a cancellation, the original reservation date will apply. This rule does not apply if you move the reservation to an earlier date. Changing the reservation date is free of charge.

PRIVATE TOURS: (Private Adventure with Aurora, Discover the fjords - private tour, Snowshoe adventure - private tour)

You can cancel your booking and receive refund up to 7 days before the tour/activity. From the refund we will deduct handling fee 2000nok per tour (1-8people). I case of bigger groups (8-15 people) handling fee is 3000nok. After that time in case of your cancellation or no-show no refund will be given.

Handling fee is necessary to be able to offer the tours for reasonable price and cover the costs of financial operations of our partners.

OTHER CANCELLATION RULES:

Payments/bookings will not be refunded in case of cancelled flights/cruise ships or changes in flight/cruises plans to Tromso. In that case we highly recommend to purchase travel insurance.

We will do our best to make your tour safe and to show you the northern lights, but it's natural phenomenon and we cannot guarantee it. Thus no refund will be given if you will not see them on your tour. Also we do not offer free additional tours, however you can ask for discount for the next tour.

Because of strict rules we cannot accept kids under 12 years old (we can only accept on private tours on special request). The Green Adventure reserves the right to ask for any document at the pick up to proove the age of the child. Also guide can refuse to take smaller child on board. In that case there will be no refund, because this is parents responsibility.

No refunds or any free tours in case the guest will not show up at the pick up point or will come more than 15 minutes late.

We reserve the right to cancel the tour in a few cases like:

weather conditions will not allow to organise safe tour. Your safety is our priority.
there is less participants than the required minimum. If you are the only one booked we will contact you and you can choose to receive a full refund or an alternative tour.
other unforeseen accidents like guide's sickness or car's defect

In all of this cases when we need to cancel the tour from our site, you will get full refund without any handling fee.

No cash refunds, unless You initially paid for the tour in cash.

PHOTOS

You will receive photos from the tour free of charge in 2048px resolution with a watermark. Optionally, you may acquire a printable, watermark-free, full-frame version for a nominal fee as a gesture of appreciation for the photographer's work.

You need to remember that we own the copyrights of those pictures. Photos are for personal use only and shall not be submitted to contests, reproduced for commercial use, or reproduced in any way. You may not crop or remove the watermark.

The pictures taken during our tours may be used for promotional purposes in print or online. If you do not agree on your image being used you need to let us know by writing (email) within a week after we send you the pictures from your tour.

It's possible to purchase also a version in high resolution without watermark, if you would like to print our photos for your personal use.

We usually send photos next day, but for unexpected events we reserve the rights to send you photos within 3 days.

HEALTH

You take full responsibility for your own health during our tours. We provide safety information and necessary equipment but you need to be in good enough condition to handle to challenging weather and walking icy roads. Please wear appropriate clothing and inform your guide about any preexisting medical conditions so we can better help you in case of emergency. We reserve us a right to jugde if you are fit enough/ dressed properly to join our tour and may cancel your booking with full refund in case we have doubts about your safety.

We reserve the rights to not take you on a tour if we will see that you will be under influence of alcohol or any illegal drugs. There will be no exception for that.

We reserve the rights to not take you on a tour, if you have symptoms of flu or other viruses. We have to be responsible in that cases and we kindly ask you to inform us about your sickness as soon as possible.

Keep in mind that on our tour access to the toilet is limited. On some routes it might be a chance to stop at gas station, but mostly in places away from Tromso there are no toilets and there is only nature.

LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY

We have the right to change the time of or cancel the tour last minute - please stay in touch by phone and/or email. In case of cancellation you will receive a full refund and help to find a seat on a similar tour with other local guides.

The Green Adventure Tours AS cannot be responsible for things outside its control, like delayed flights, blocked roads, nature catastrophes and other emergencies that may not let the you arrive on time for our schedules services. If your flight is scheduled just after or before the tour it is at your risk and we recommend a travel insurance.

TRAVEL INSURANCE

We recommend that the individuals booking our tours and activities have a travel insurance. Participants are recommended to have travel insurance covering cancelled flights or ferries, as well as other unforeseen events that may prevent participation in the tour. The insurance should be sufficient to cover any losses resulting from the cancellation of the reservation by the participant within less than 24 hours before the scheduled tour date.
